Watch Please Excuse Me, I’m Destructive

This tense, absurd drama follows the story of Jean, a young woman who attends a New Year’s Eve party in an attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend from her best friend. However, things don’t go according to plan as Jean spirals out of control.

This is a story about personal accountability, growth, and learning to get help, as it dives into a character who is wallowing in their destructivity, and how that relationship with mental health affects their loved ones.

Produced through Brown Motion Pictures at Brown University, this short film is directed by Daniel Zheng and written by Leonardo Quispe.

In my roles as both assistant production designer and graphic designer, I collaborated closely with the Director, Director of Photography, and Production Designer to define the visual style of the film and craft the environment in which the story unfolds. This involved developing visual concepts and shots, decorating sets, and making props.
