MIDNIGHT DINER

Fall 2022Walking past a local diner truck, Haven Brothers Diner, in Providence, Rhode Island, I was captivated by the stark contrast between the dark, cold streets of the night and the vibrant, neon-lit diner bustling with life, warmth, and the smell of food. This stark difference between the inner and outer environments sparked the idea for a design that mirrors these stark differences.








The mixed media collage served as the initial inspiration, capturing elements of my experience and the environment. From there, the concept of a mini stage evolved, featuring a dark construction, serving as a backdrop to the vibrant colors of the diner. 

My goal was to create a visually compelling representation of the contrast between the two worlds: the dark, cold exterior and the lively, warm interior.
